About the event
Why yin and tonic? When we're not feeling our best we tend to reach for something that'll be a quick fix, like a gin and tonic (ok maybe not quite that at this time of year) or a bowl of chocolate mousse (yeah that's me). Alternatively, we can get on the yoga mat, tune into the breath, the body, try a few mindful moves and rest in a bit of stillness in between and next thing we know we're feeling even better than we would have with the quick fix, and for longer.
Join me and some local holistic health enthusiasts for another one of our sublime monthly Yin & Tonic events, this one curated to balance Kapha energy (excess water and earth), to combat feelings of low energy, boost immunity and reconnect with our natural equilibrium and sense of inner peace and satisfaction.
We'll be doing
- a qigong sequence to wake up the chi, release blockages in some of the typical channels that stagnate in winter, and get chi moving.
- a yin sequence to explore a few grounded yoga poses held for a few minutes) is dedicated to waking up the san jiao or triple heater meridian, opening the shoulders, hips and spine.
- a nice long yoga Nidra or NSDR (non sleep deep rest) designed to let your body full absorb all the squeezing, stretching and opening from the session, and to detach a little from the mind, to come into your own warm and blissful being and awareness of our common loving living being-ness. fr!
All this roasting and toasting of the cells, tissues and organs will be peppered with some hand-picked ad bottled essential oils - essential oils are like the sun, moon and earth in different combinations in a bottle!
Tickets are $15 and you can pay cash at the door just let me know you're coming) or buy a ticket here (or do inter net banking)
